Education creates its greatest impact when knowledge continues moving forward. Learning from an institution and later contributing back to its community is a responsibility beyond the classroom.”

MUMBAI, MAHARASHTRA, INDIA, September 9, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Hiten Bhuta’s association with the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay - SOM) spans learning, entrepreneurship education and giving back, culminating in a 2026 contribution by CGS Infotech Solutions toward student hostel infrastructure.

For Hiten Bhuta, IIT Bombay-SOM represents a significant chapter in his journey as an engineer, entrepreneur and lifelong learner. His association with the institute reflects the importance of continuous education, practical knowledge sharing and contributing back to institutions that influence future generations.

Hiten Bhuta connection with IIT Bombay began as a student at IIT Bombay’s Shailesh J Mehta (SOM) institute of management studies. After completing his engineering education from the University of Mumbai, he pursued further management learning through a postgraduate management programme at the Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management at IIT Bombay.

During his time at the campus of IIT Bombay, Bhuta experienced the institute’s academic environment, faculty interactions and emphasis on innovation, analytical thinking and leadership development. He has retained his IIT Bombay-SOM student identity card as a personal reminder of his connection with the institution and the learning experience that shaped his professional perspective.

The relationship later evolved from student participation to entrepreneurship knowledge sharing.
In November 2014, Bhuta received a formal invitation from a professor at the Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management to participate as a visiting faculty contributor for the Management in Family Business and Entrepreneurship programme.

The session focused on practical entrepreneurship experiences and provided students with insights beyond classroom theory. The discussion covered:
• Building and managing businesses from an entrepreneur’s perspective
• Decision-making in uncertain business environments
• Understanding risks, responsibilities and challenges in entrepreneurship
• Connecting management concepts with real-world business experiences
The programme included interaction between Hiten Bhuta and management students, with students participating through discussions and questions about entrepreneurship, leadership and business development.

Faculty members associated with the programme supported the academic session and helped connect entrepreneurial experience with management education.
Following the session, Bhuta received recognition for his contribution to the entrepreneurship learning experience.
For Bhuta, returning to IIT Bombay as a contributor after experiencing the institute as a student represented an important transition — from receiving knowledge to sharing experience with future entrepreneurs.

“IIT Bombay shaped my approach toward continuous learning, disciplined thinking and practical problem-solving. Sharing experiences with students and contributing back to the institution represents the lasting value of education,” said Hiten Bhuta.
In April 2026, CGS Infotech Solutions made a contribution toward IIT Bombay’s Hostel Enhancement Fund. According to documentation provided by CGS Infotech Solutions, the contribution was formally acknowledged by IIT Bombay, and Room No. 723 in Hostel 15 is associated with Hiten Haresh Bhuta’s name as part of the recognition process.

The contribution represents another chapter in Bhuta’s relationship with IIT Bombay by connecting his own educational journey with the future student experience at the institute.
The initiative reflects a broader belief that education creates lasting impact when knowledge, experience and resources continue moving forward. For entrepreneurs and professionals, giving back to educational institutions can become an extension of the learning journey itself.
